Internet Explorer 10

On Wednesday, Microsoft launched the Consumer Preview edition of its much expected OS platform Windows 8. Still, that wasn’t the just news to follow the new Windows 8 CP version – as enthusiasts were also treated to an each new build of the maker’s flagship web browser Internet Explorer 10.

The new build of the browser, recognized as Internet Explorer 10 Platform Preview 5, has been maximised to support HTML5, and has been built for compatibility with touch allowed devices too. It will also get the new Metro user interface that has been embraced by both Windows Phone and Windows 8 OS platforms.

Microsoft states that the inclusion of the Metro interface in the new build of the browser has generated in a more complete screen experience for its users.

“To deliver the richest experience, and one experience that scales across different devices, we continue to recommend that developers detect when plug-ins are not available and rely on native browser patterns,” Dean Hachamovitch, Corporate Vice President for Internet Explorer, told, according to Daily Tech’s source.

Browser giant Mozilla has revealed a demo version a new technology for browser based gaming.

According to ThinQ, Mozilla, that it’s operating on a new 3D gaming engine for browser-based play.

Alongside from the new game engine, codenamed Gladius, the outfit also planned at an open source store for web apps and a Chrome OS-like browser based OS named ‘Boot to Gecko’ between different things.
