Apple attacts Samsung over Galaxy Nexus slide-to-unlock

Apple is suing its arch competitor Samsung with an all new angle particularly going after a feature in Korean electronics giant’s smartphone this time stating that it violate its “slide-to-unlock” feature.

In this new case, Apple has stated that Galaxy Nexus breaks the “slide-to-unlock” feature that was announced for the first time back in 2007 by the original iPhone. Then on in the month of October 2011, it was copyrighted with US Patent and Trademark Office. Moreover, in the year 2006 Apple also received a “utility model” enrollment performed in Germany for this feature, reported Apple Insider.

Samsung may carry in its Neonode N1m smartphone which provided the slide-to-unlock feature method prior to Apple had named this feature as its find.

In the present case, Justice Andreas Voss might determine to keep it pending as a same suit has been proposed with Munich based Federal Patent Court in order to evade any kind of inconstancy in judgment. Microsoft is scheduling to release a version of the Windows 8 platform for smart embedded devices such as ATM machines and smart kiosks.

According to an article on The Register, Microsoft schedules to launch the Windows Embedded Enterprise v.Next platform for embedded devices 3 months following th launch of the commercial version of Windows 8.

The Windows Embedded Enterprise v.Next lets companies of ATM machines and different similar devices to apply complete versions of Windows 8 on them. Japanese Wireless Carrier Softbank Takes Together Chinese Competitors to Develop its 4G Network

Wireless carrier Softbank in Japan has announced competitors Huawei and ZTE to enable it develop its 4G as a upcoming generation Wireless Network.

The maker claimed the network, that will be capable of producing speeds of up to 110 Mbps, will be released in 2012.

According to a Business Week report, ZTE said 4G network was Softbank’s ‘primary strategic partner’ for the project.

IBM has built a new range of cloud based and on-premise software made to let corporations to respond to changing buyer trends.

The new Commerce-as-a-service and Social Media Marketing products, released under the corporation’s Smarter Commerce initiative, are based on technology the corporation received from the acquisition of Unica, Coremetrics and Sterling Commerce.

US-based bookseller Waterstone’s is aiming to release its own e-reader device to compete Kindle and Nook in the lucrative ebook market.

Speaking to BBC’s Radio 4, the firm’s managing director James Daunt told that it was inspired by Barnes and Nobel’s Nook Android-based colour ebook reader.

The move to widen its operations into the ebook reader market arrives after the firm was sold by the HMV Group to Russian business man Alexander Mamut, who in-turn rented Daunt to enhance the bookseller’s falling sales numbers.

Intel has been commanded to amend its netbooks method as the request for tablet PC devices enhances together with large-screened laptops.

The firm had reached early success in the netbook market as buyer request was leaning towards cheap devices.
